Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010003883A2] The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a product in layers, comprising the following steps: (a) a layer of a curable material is applied; (b) predetermined zones of the applied layer are selectively cured on the basis of geometrical data of the product; (c) steps (a) and (b) are repeated until the geometry of the product has been obtained as a cured material; (d) the uncured material is removed. According to the invention, in steps (a) and (b), a finish allowance, e.g. one that has a wedge-shaped cross-section, is applied to at least one planar section of a contour of the product in one, two, or more product sections in which an angle between an axis running perpendicular to the layers and said at least one planar section exceeds a predetermined value, said finish allowance being applied such that the angle between the axis running perpendicular to the layers and the external surface in said product section does not exceed the predetermined value.
