[origin: WO2010020344A1] The invention relates to a printer for a cash register system, having a computer comprising a number of interfaces for linking to a cash register drawer, a keyboard, a customer display, an operator display, a scanner, and/or a display screen, and comprising a network interface, wherein the printer comprises a printer housing in which a printer controller and a printer mechanism are disposed, and wherein the computer and the printer can be supplied with electric current by means of a power supply unit, wherein the computer is configured as a mini-computer that is integrated in the printer housing, and the mini-computer and the printer can be supplied with electric current via a mutual power supply unit.
