Abstract (en)

[origin: GB2462110A] A cable attachment 1 comprises a first part 2, a second part 3 and connection means preferably in the form of hinges 4 and a releasable latching means 5, 6; the first part and the second part are moveable between an open position, as shown in figs 1 and 2, in which subject cable (not shown) is placable between them and a closed position, as shown in figure 3, in which they define a cable chamber 7; the connection means is adapted to connect the first part and the second part together in the closed position, in which an inner surface of the first part and/or the second part is provided with grip means 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 30-33, adapted to retain a subject cable in the cable chamber. The grip means is preferably a wall disposed at one end of each of said parts causing the cable to deform in S-shape; alternatively a spring means is employed in one part only compressing the cable against the inner surface of said other part. Preferably at least one of said parts is adapted to receive indicia relating to cable identification.
