[origin: EP2319338A1] The helmet (1) has a reversible assembling unit including a retaining device (7) arranged on a side. The device has a plate formed with an oblong opening (58) centered on a rotation axis (XX). A connection member (30) is moved on a shield (3) along an axis (YY). The device occupies an engagement configuration in which the member is secured to the plate and partially passes the opening side by side, so that the member crosses the opening while pivoting the shield opposite to a cap and a disengagement configuration in which the member is disengaged from the plate.
