Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2319667A1] The method involves creating chimneys in a mass of wood by a mechanical rotary tool (1) i.e. cylindrical roller, to evacuate gases and water vapor releasing from the wood during cooking operation. Holes or incisions are formed at regular intervals on a surface of an inner face of a stave (2), where depth of each hole or incision is 1cm and density of each incision ranges from 1000 to 1500 per square meter. The mechanical rotary tool is placed at an end of a machining tool by which a shook is transformed into the stave. An independent claim is also included for a tool for treating staves, comprising picots.
