Abstract (en)

The method involves attaching a display (4) e.g. seven segment electro chromic display, on a substrate, and irreversibly modifying display elements such that an attribute is formed. The display elements are arranged in form of a matrix and the display comprises organic LEDs. The attribute is brought in correlation with additional, individual attributes of the safety element or the valuable document in a recognizing manner. The safety element is supplied with the electrical energy from outer side via a galvanic coupling or decoupling of electromagnetic rays.

Die Erfindung umfasst ein Verfahren zur Individualisierung eines Sicherheitselements oder eines Wertdokuments (1) mit einem Display (4), wobei das Display aus einer Anordnung von mindestens einem Anzeigeelement besteht, das bei Versorgung mit Energie aufleuchtet oder mindestens eine seiner physikalischen Eigenschaften ändert, umfassend die folgenden Schritte: - zur Verfügung stellen eines Substrats, - Aufbringen des Displays auf das Substrat, - irreversible Modifikation von mindestens einem Anzeigeelement derart, dass hierdurch ein Merkmal gebildet wird, das mit mindestens einem weiteren individuellen Merkmal des Sicherheitselements oder des Wertdokuments erkennbar in Zusammenhang gebracht wird.
