Abstract (en)
The package has a lateral body (14) with inner and outer concentric metallic collars (22, 24) that jointly form an annular space (18) in which a radiological protection device (20) is housed. The device has radiological protection elements (30, 32) superimposed along radial direction of the package. The elements are in support against the collars, respectively. The elements are in contact with each other along an interface (40) taking form of a truncated or plane segment inclined at a right side with respect to a longitudinal axis of the package. The segment forms angle of 1 and 10 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a package.

L'invention se rapporte à un emballage (2) pour le transport/entreposage de matières radioactives, comprenant deux viroles concentriques entre lesquelles est logé un dispositif de protection radiologique formant barrière contre les rayonnements gamma, comportant un premier et un second éléments métalliques de protection radiologique (30, 32) superposés selon une direction radiale de l'emballage, le premier élément (30) étant en appui contre la virole extérieure (24) et le second élément (32) étant en appui contre la virole intérieure (22). De plus, les éléments (30, 32) sont au contact l'un de l'autre selon une interface (40) prenant, en coupe selon un plan quelconque intégrant l'axe longitudinal (8), la forme d'un segment de droite incliné par rapport à cet axe.
