[origin: WO2010015891A1] An electrical connector (1) with male terminals (4). The electrical connector comprises a grid (34) for protecting the male terminal tips when the connector is not plugged in with a counterpart connector (6). The grid comprises releasable mutual fixing means (38, 34) for maintaining it in the preassembly position. The releasable mutual fixing means are arranged so that the front grid (34) is movable, in the preassembly position, in a plane (P) parallel to the front face of the electrical connector (1).
