Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2322052A2] The applicator has a housing (10) for accommodating a fluid reservoir (44), and an applicator element (30) movable relative to the housing for applying liquid on a surface to be coated. A valve (36) disconnects a fluid connection between the fluid reservoir and applicator element when the applicator is not in use, and opens due to relative movement between the reservoir and element during pressing of the element at the surface when the applicator is in use. The fluid connection is enabled such that a contact surface (41) of the element is supplied with fluid from outside.
