[origin: WO2010012689A1] The drying device of a dishwasher machine (GS) comprises at least one sorption compartment (SB) comprising a reversibly dehydrogenatable sorption material (ZEO). Said compartment is connected to the washing compartment (SPB) of the dishwasher machine by means of at least one air guiding channel (LK). The air guiding channel (LK) is coupled to the sorption compartment (SB) in such a way that the air flow (LS1) enters the sorption compartment (SB) in an inflow direction (ESR) which is converted into a throughflow direction (DSR) different from the inflow direction and along which the flow flows through the inside of the sorption compartment (SB).
