[origin: WO2010028749A1] The invention relates to an insert for arrangement in or on textiles, comprising a carrier layer (1) and a cover layer (2), wherein a material (3) that is swellable when absorbing liquid is accommodated in cells (4) in an encapsulated manner between the carrier layer (1) and the cover layer (2), said insert being characterized with regard to the object of configuring and further improving an insert such that the same has a relatively low thickness at high flexibility in a permanent and moisture-independent manner after the cost-effective production thereof, and encloses the swellable material in a loss-proof manner, in that the cells (4) form a layer (5) that connects the carrier layer (1) and the cover layer (2) to each other, wherein the cells (4) have walls (6) made from a binding agent, said walls connecting the carrier layer (1) and the cover layer (2) and keeping them at a distance to each other.
