[origin: WO2010028829A1] The invention relates to an electric motorcycle (1) with a frame (2), an electromotive drive (19) and a control unit (16) for controlling the electromotive drive (19).  The invention also relates to a method for assembling an electric motorcycle (1), in which at least one energy source (55, 59) is introduced into a frame (2).  In order to ensure easy and quick assembly of the electric motorcycle (1), according to the invention said motorcycle (1) comprises an auxiliary pedal drive and the frame (2) is designed as a diamond frame (2) with at least one upper tube (11), at least one lower tube (12) and at least one seat tube (7), wherein the upper tube (11) comprises a receiving shaft (54a) for at least one energy source (55) and is provided at at least one tube end (30) with a push-in opening (22), through which the energy source (55) can be pushed into the receiving shaft (54a).  In the method according to the invention at least one energy source (55) is inserted through an open tube end (30) into an upper tube (11) of the frame (2).
