Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2325383A1] The iron has a soleplate (1) comprising a lower face with a sliding surface (11) that is in contact with a linen. A recess (10) of the lower face supplies vapor, where depth of the recess is of 1-5mm. The recess is bordered at a periphery by the surface so as to form a vapor diffusion cavity for diffusing the vapor, where the cavity is surrounded by the surface when the soleplate is applied against the linen to be ironed. The surface represents 50 percent of a total surface of the lower face. A base (10A) is constituted by a plane surface with vapor exit holes (12).
