[origin: EP2325419A2] The door handle module (10) has a door handle (11) which is movably supported in a bearing frame (12) by a user for opening a door or a flap. The door handle has a neutral position and a working position. A crash barrier (14) is activated with the action of an acceleration force of an additional spring. An independent claim is also included for a method for protecting a door handle module.
