[origin: WO2010034378A1] The invention relates to a unitary package for cigarettes, namely for a packaging group (19) of cigarette packages (10) preferably disposed in two rows, encompassed by a sleeve-shaped encasement (22) made of thin cardboard or a similar packaging material. The encasement (22), open at both ends, extends over the full length of the packaging group (19) or over a partial dimension, such that partial areas of the cigarette packages on the ends extend out of the encasement (22). An exterior wrapping made of film is also provided.
