[origin: WO2010034294A1] The present invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, which with respect to the basic design thereof is equipped with a locking mechanism (3, 4) and a closing/opening device (5 to 8). The closing/opening device (5 to 8) has at least one drive (5) and a crank drive (6, 7, 8). According to the invention, the crank drive (6, 7, 8) is held in the engaged position by a non-actuated trigger lever (10). The crank drive (6, 7, 8) assumes the disengaged position thereof upon actuating the trigger lever (10).
