[origin: EP2327926A1] The lighting unit (1) has a light source (4) which is fixed at a body and an optical element that is arranged in light emitting direction by the light source. The optical element is held at another body (8). A distance piece is provided as fastening unit, where the distance piece is extended between the bodies under formation of a release for the light source. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a lighting unit.
