[origin: EP2329735A2] The heat hood (11) has recesses provided corresponding to connecting elements (6), where the heat hood is made of a textile material. The recesses are clamped by the connecting elements, and assembly slots extend between the recesses and an edge of the heat hood. The connecting elements connect an inner helmet (3) of a protective helmet (1) to an outer helmet shell (2) that is made of an impact-resistant material. Material strips (17) overlapping each other are provided in a region of the assembly slots.
