Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2329865A1] The device has a locking unit e.g. lift magnet (26) and bolt (28), locking a connection of a sport shoe (50) with an alpine binding (10). A control unit e.g. microprocessor (40), controls the unit between locking and releasing positions based on a code. A radio-based data exchange system e.g. wireless local area network, is provided between a coded transponder (48) and transceiver (46) for scanning the transponder, where the transponder is attached at the sport shoe. The transceiver is provided at the control unit. A high-capacity battery (42) supplies power to the control and locking units.
