[origin: EP2329955A1] Heat-sensitive recording material comprises: at least one paper substrate; a heat-sensitive recording layer with at least one color precursor and at least one color acceptor arranged on the front side of the substrate, where the precursor and the acceptor respond the color forming with each other under the action of heat; and an authentic detectable end safety feature. The safety feature is a marking of a tincture with at least one organic solvent applied on the back side of the substrate, and a barrier coating is arranged between the substrate and the recording layer. Heat-sensitive recording material comprises: at least one paper substrate; a heat-sensitive recording layer with at least one color precursor and at least one color acceptor arranged on the front side of the substrate, where the color precursor and the color acceptor respond the color forming with each other under the action of heat; and an authentic detectable end safety feature. The safety feature is a marking of a tincture with at least one organic solvent applied on the back side of the paper substrate, and a barrier coating is arranged between the paper substrate and the recording layer, suitable for protecting the recording layer from the back side penetration of the tincture into the recording layer.
