Abstract (en)
[origin: US8596907B2] A lifting system for navigable watercraft or marine vessels for temporary stationary positioning of the vessel on a seabed includes supporting legs that may be lowered and raised, and a locking and braking device to provide a force locking engagement with the respective supporting leg. The lifting system also includes a hydro-mechanical device, combined with hydraulic devices, to allow a stationary position of a raised vessel and a lowering of the vessel during transition to a travelling position to be achieved.
