The mains plug (1) comprises a plug part (4) and a plug housing (5). Plug pins (6), which are connected to the mains cable (2), are arranged in the plug part (4). The base body (41) is arranged on the plug housing (5) in a swiveling manner. The plug housing (5) further comprises an extension (58), which is supported outside the socket recess (31) of the earthing contact socket (3).
