[origin: EP2332416A2] The treatment device comprises a transportation medium for promoting a sausage strand (5), where a heating medium (14) is equipped for heating of turning areas (7). The heating medium is transported through the sausage strand by the transportation medium. The heating medium is intermittently or continuously operated as a function of a detection result provided by a detection device. An independent claim is also included for a method for treatment of a sausage strand.
