Abstract (en)
The method involves protruding opposite ends (3) of a packing material tube (2) through a small-sized article (1) at the both sides of the tube. The ends of the tube are brought together and interconnected on a side of the article, where the tube ends are folded at an included angle of greater than or equal to 90 degrees. The articles are packed at a middle region (4) of the tube, where the tube ends are formed as projection regions (5) that are provided with a hermetic transversed sealed seam under application of pressure and/or heat, ultrasound or electromagnetic waves. An independent claim is also included for an article package comprising a lateral seam.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verpacken eines kleinstückigen Artikels unter Ausbildung eines Packstoffschlauches um den Artikel, wobei der Packstoffschlauch beiderseits über den Artikel hinausragende, gegenüberliegende Enden aufweist, die an einer Seite des Artikels zusammengeführt und miteinander verbunden werden. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner eine entsprechende, vorzugsweise hermetische, Artikelverpackung.
