The pre-compressed sealing tape has elastically resilient foam strips (2) that are extended in longitudinal direction than in transverse direction. The foam strips have two side surfaces (6) and two cross surfaces (8,9) that are connected with the side surfaces. A strip-shaped element (10) is formed from foam material and has a high bending strength than the foam strips.

Das vorkomprimierte Dichtband für das Abdichten einer Fuge weist einen elastisch rückstellfähigen, sich in Längsrichtung weiter als in Querrichtung erstreckenden Schaumstoffstreifen (2) auf, der zwei Seitenflächen (6) und zwei diese Seitenflächen (6) verbindende Querflächen (8, 9) aufweist, außerdem eine folienhafte Umhüllung (4), die den Schaumstoffstreifen (2) zumindest teilweise umgibt, und ein streifenförmiges Element (10), das im Bereich einer ersten Querfläche (9) des Schaumstoffstreifens (2) angeordnet ist. Das streifenförmige Element (10) ist aus Schaumstoff gebildet und weist eine höhere Biegefestigkeit auf als der Schaumstoffstreifen (2).
