[origin: WO2010028992A1] The invention relates to a dryer (1) comprising a drying chamber (2) for holding a damp good (3) and a process air duct (4) for feeding process air into the drying chamber (2) and for removing process air from the drying chamber (2). Said process air duct (4) comprises a heat source (6) for heating the process air before said process air enters the drying chamber (2), a heat sink (7) for cooling the process air after said process air exits the drying chamber (2), and a first lint filter (12) for catching lint from the process air arranged between the drying chamber (2) and the heat sink (7). A first cleaning device (11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) is associated with said first lint filter. Said first cleaning device (11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) comprises an accumulator (11) for a fluid, a first rinsing line (13) connected to the accumulator (11), a first control element (14) located in said first rinsing line (13), a first distributor (15) connected to the first rinsing line (13) for distributing fluid conveyed through the first rinsing line (13) to the first lint filter (12) and for receiving caught lint from the first lint filter (12), and a first drain (16) for draining the fluid with the received lint from the first lint filter (12) to the accumulator (11).
