[origin: WO2010040943A1] The installation comprising a conveyor belt 2 for transporting articles to be checked, a carousel having a wheel 3 and an exit belt 4, a conveying screw 8, exterior guides 9 for guiding the articles along the wheel 3. One of the checking stations 7 checks the inner and outer diameters of the neck of the articles 45 by means respectively of a tapered piston 53 and of a cup 54 that are carried by a body 52 of the corresponding checking module 27. By virtue of the reaction experienced by the tapered piston 53, the body 52 of the module positions itself angularly about an axis 55 and in translation along a direction 56. Use to improve the quality of checking (see Figure 12).
