Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010040914A2] The present invention relates to a compact wide field imaging system (1) for the infrared spectrum range, said system comprising a vacuum housing (13) with a porthole (14), a cooled dark room (3) arranged inside the vacuum housing (13) and provided with an opening referred to as a cold diaphragm (5), an infrared detector (2) arranged inside the cooled dark room (3), and a device (4) for the optical conjugation of the field rays with the detector (2). In said system, the optical conjugation device (4) does not include any element located outside the vacuum housing (13), and includes at least one cold lens (4) located inside said cooled dark room (3), the pupil of the optical conjugation device coinciding with the cold diaphragm (5).
