[origin: EP2336451A2] The board covering has an array of profile boards (1, 2) i.e. wood profile boards, arranged next to one other, where the neighboring profile boards are arranged in a contactless manner. A step-shaped joint (8) is formed between the neighboring profile boards. An inlet opening (12) and an outlet opening (13) are laterally offset to each other in the joint. A mounting unit (7) is associated with the neighboring profile boards and arranged in the joint, where the neighboring profile boards are mounted on a subsurface by the mounting unit.
