The device has a middle electrode (2) guided through an insulating body (3), and a housing (4) with a metallic housing body (5) provided at an end, where the housing body surrounds a section of the insulating body. A series oscillating circuit excites high frequency of the electrode. A section of the insulating body has an electric conductive coating (6) i.e. nitride ceramic coating, which exhibits thickness of less than 20 micrometers. The insulating body is projected from the housing body at a combustion chamber-sided end and partially covers the housing body.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine HF-Zündeinrichtung zum Zünden eines brennbaren Gasgemisches in einem Verbrennungsmotor, mit einer Mittelelektrode (2), einem Isolatorkörper (3), durch den die Mittelelektrode (2) hindurchgeführt ist, einem Gehäuse (4), das an einem Ende einen metallischen Gehäusekörper (5) trägt, der zumindest einen Abschnitt des Isolatorkörpers (3) umgibt und ein Außengewinde (5a) zum Einschrauben in einen Verbrennungsmotor trägt, und einer Schaltung zur HF-Anregung der Mittelelektrode (2). Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass der von dem Gehäusekörper (5) umgebene Abschnitt des Isolatorkörpers (3) eine elektrisch leitfähige Beschichtung (6) trägt.
