[origin: WO2010046488A1] A rear lock of a brassiere comprises a strip of an inelastic textile material, said strip fastened to one end of one of the rear parts of the brassiere and supporting a plurality of series of eyelets disposed on the rear side, said series extending in the lateral direction and being at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction, wherein each series comprises at least two eyelets that are disposed at a distance from one another in the lateral direction. A flat base member has an inner end that is fastened to the end of the other rear part, an opposite outer end, a front side that at least partially overlaps the rear side of the material piece at the outer end, and a rear side opposite the front side. Corresponding plastic hooks which are generally designed to be complementary to the eyelets and which can be engaged therewith in paired fashion, are fastened to the front side of the member at the outer end thereof in such a way that the hooks can be engaged with the eyelets in alignment therewith and affixed thereto. A laterally extending rigid bar disposed on the base member or designed as a part thereof prevents relative motions of the hook from occurring in the lateral direction and bending of the base member near the hook.
