At the installation site of the railing structure, a cladding panel (20), such as a glass sheet, is installed into conjunction with the rails and locked in its place by means of external seals (26a, 26b) placed between the edges of the glass sheet and the cladding panels of the rails, In the railing structure, there is a longitudinal groove (12a, 12b) inside the rail post (11), the width of the groove being suitably tight for the thread of a self-drilling drill-tip screw to create a sufficiently strong joint between the drill-tip screw and the groove.
