[origin: EP2343258A1] The device has a roller (1) including laths (2) that extend in a direction of an axis (A) and are arranged in a circumferential direction of the roller. A lath guiding device (20) comprises a respective lath guiding region (21) for each lath. A lath securing device (22) comprises respective regions (23) for securing each of the laths. The lath guiding device is made of a material i.e. plastic, and the lath securing device is made of a material i.e. steel, which exhibits greater hardness and abrasion resistance than the material of the lath guiding device.
