Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007121927A1] The invention relates to an operating circuit for an LED system that has one or more LEDs connected in series, to each of which an element is connected in parallel that takes over the current through the LED in case of a cut-out failure of an LED. An acquisition unit is also provided that is designed to detect a cut-out failure of at least one LED by monitoring the temporal development of the diode current and the voltage on the LED system.
