[origin: CA2743220A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for cooling a roller (2) in a rolling stand, having at least one spray bar (3) supplied with a coolant, particularly with water, said spray bar having spray nozzles (4) for spraying coolant on the surface of the roller (2) and extending in the direction of a spray bar axis (5) that is arranged parallel to the roller axis (6). In order to be able to track the spray bar in an optimal manner in the case of changing roller diameters, according to the invention the spray bar (3) is arranged directly or indirectly on a lever (7), wherein the lever (7) is arranged in a pivoting manner about a pivot axis (8) that is parallel to the roller axis (6) and wherein the spray bar axis (5) and the pivot axis (8) are spaced apart from one another.
