[origin: AT505815A2] The device comprises a support unit on which a support element is equipped on which the flat components are laid out, an electric conductive contact element for contacting a welding electrode and an insulation element, a movably arranged contact unit (4) with a contact electrode (32), and a holding element by which the flat components are holdable in the device in position. The supporting element and the contact element are electrically separated from one another. The contact unit is movable by a drive unit in and from a contact position. The device comprises a support unit on which a support element is equipped on which the flat components are laid out, an electric conductive contact element for contacting a welding electrode and an insulation element, a movably arranged contact unit (4) with a contact electrode (32), and a holding element by which the flat components are holdable in the device in position. The supporting element and the contact element are electrically separated from one another. The contact unit is movable by a drive unit in and from a contact position. On the contact unit, a tensioning device (35) is equipped with a movable tensioning element (36). The tensioning element is movable with a drive unit (37) in and from a tensioning position. The contact electrode and a component are adjustable with respect to the tensioning element. The contact element and the contact electrode are electrically connected to each other. The contact unit is pivotably arranged around a rotation point and the tensioning element is pivotably arranged on the tensioning device. The contact electrode is implemented as coracle metal strip. Independent claims are included for: (1) spot-welding plant for spot-welding two flat components; and (2) a method for spot-welding of two flat components to a component.
