[origin: WO2010049074A1] The invention relates to an operating circuit for at least one LED, receiving a DC voltage or a rectified AC voltage and supplying a power supply voltage for at least one LED via a coil (L1) and a first switch (S1), which is clocked by a control/regulating unit (SR), when the first switch (S1) is turned on, energy being stored temporarily in the coil (L1) and discharged via a diode (D1) and via at least one LED when the first switch (S1) is turned off, characterized in that another switch (S2) is arranged in parallel to the LEDs and can be controlled independently of the first switch (S1).
