Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010043358A1] The invention relates to a device and to a method for processing value documents. A value document is inserted into the input opening of a device for processing value documents and is transported by means of a transport system of the device to an image sensor that captures a partial image of the value document. From the captured partial image, a contour of the front partial region is determined and analyzed. In case the analysis of the outline of the front partial region indicates an error, the value document is rejected. Faulty or erroneously transported value documents can thus be detected at the earliest possible time and can be transported back to the input opening.
