[origin: WO2010052118A2] The invention relates to a method for operating a dishwasher, especially a household dishwasher, according to which a plurality of program steps (V, R, Z, K, T) are carried out. During at least one of the program steps (V, R, Z), liquid is heated to a maximum temperature (T1', T2, T3'), and during another clear-rinsing (K) program step, the liquid reaches a maximum clear rinsing temperature (T4, T5). According to the invention, during at least one of the program steps (V, R, Z), liquid is heated to a maximum temperature (T1', T2, T3') that is essentially the same as, or higher than, the maximum clear rinsing temperature (T4, T5).
