Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010063650A1] Method for releasing a load receiving means (2) of a lift from a safety device (13) in a stopping position after downward travel, wherein the load receiving means (2) is connected to a compensating weight (4) by way of a suspension means (5) and can be moved by means of a drive unit (3), which comprises a reversible electric motor (40) and a traction sheave (18), over which the suspension means (5) are led. In the case of many safety devices, after stopping the load receiving means (2) must be moved counter to the travelling direction of the load receiving means (2) before stopping in order to release it, therefore moved upwards in the case of stopping after downward travel. To make it possible for the safety device to be released easily, it is provided according to the invention that the drive unit (3) is activated for a time (tmax1) or a certain distance (smax) with a predetermined torque (Mmax) counter to the direction of release (that is in the downward direction of travel) and subsequently activated as abruptly as possible with a predetermined torque (Mmax) in the direction of release (that is in the upward direction of travel). This method can be used analogously to release the compensating weight from its stopped position. This method can be used analogously for releasing the compensating weight (4) from the stopped state after downward travel.
