Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010063894A1] The present invention relates to a method for crowning a container, wherein a container (10) having a neck (11) and a crown cap (30) with an apron is provided, the neck of said container with said crown cap is covered, said crown cap (30) is clamped onto said neck, and said container (10) having said crown cap is removed, characterized in that, in order to obtain a tamper-resistant closing of said container, a) said apron includes an area (31) covered with a plastic material layer that is heat-sealable at a sealing temperature greater than 45°C; b) after placing and clamping said apron onto said neck, said apron is compressed onto the neck by means of an external tool (100) that is radially engageable with said covered area (31); c) while maintaining said compression, said compressed covered area is heated such that said layer reaches said sealing temperature; and d) the heating is stopped, compression is stopped, and the neck (11) is freed from said external tool (100).
