Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010045746A1] The invention relates to a combing device for combing a fibrous material (F), which is supplied to a clamping assembly (1) that is mounted in a machine frame (MS) and has a lower and upper clamping plate (2, 3), wherein the upper clamping plate (3) is movably mounted with respect to the lower clamping plate (2) so as to form a clamping point (KS) and is pressurized by a loading unit so as to produce a clamping force, and the lower clamping plate (2) - viewed in the direction of a downstream, rotatably mounted draw-off roller (8) - is fixedly attached in the machine frame, and provided with a feeding means (5) for supplying the fibrous material (F) to the clamping point (KS) of the clamping assembly, with which beneath a combing cylinder (16) is associated that is rotatably mounted in the machine frame (MS) and equipped with at least one combing segment (19) and a draw-off segment (20) on the periphery thereof, wherein the draw-off roller (8) which can be pressurized by loading means (B1, B2) can be advanced toward the draw-off segment so as to form a clamping line (KL). In order to provide settings for different fibrous materials, it is proposed to mount the draw-off roller (8) in a holder (10) which is movably mounted in the radial direction of the combing cylinder (16) and pressurized by way of load means (B1, B2), wherein the holder is connected to an adjusting device (17), by way of which the distance (E, E1) between the draw-off roller (8) and the lower clamping plate (2) can be set.
