Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010063253A1] The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for producing a nonwoven fabric product, which is compacted by water jet impingement and has a groove-shaped structuring on the surface thereof. In one embodiment of the invention, a nozzle bar which has a nozzle strip (14) and is driven in an oscillating manner transversely to the direction of movement of a material web is used, wherein the nozzle strip comprises a plurality of outlet openings for subjecting the material web to the water jet impingement and, in addition to a group of outlet openings (A; G1) serving the compaction of the material web, comprises a further group of outlet openings (A; G2) for generating a structuring.
