Abstract (en)
A camming device for use in climbing comprising a head (10) that carries one or more moveable cams (20), a shaft (12) extending from the head, an operating bar (46) carried on the shaft. A termination (40) is secured to the shaft (12), and a sling (70) is connected to the termination (40). The termination (40) is typically formed from a single block of metal. The sling (70) is formed from an endless loop of flexible material. The termination includes two (or, optionally, more) apertures through which the sling passes.
