Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2353670A2] The snowboard has a supporting base with a certain thickness and has a composite material of continuous fibers embedded in a thermoplastic material. The base extends over the entire width of the snowboard. The thermoplastic material is selected from the group of high-density polyethylene, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyethyleneimine, polyether ketones or polyetheretherketone. The continuous fibers are selected from the group of carbon fibers, basalt fibers, aramid fibers, glass fibers or steel fibers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a snowboard.
