[origin: WO2011079943A1] The spacer (1) for attaching wall panels to posts in order to form walls has a receiving contour (1a) for receiving and engaging behind the head (5a) of a connecting element (5) to be connected to a post. In order to fix the connecting element, a detachable securing means is provided, which comprises a first securing element (3a) and a second securing element (3b). In a secured state, said securing elements (3a, 3b) prevent the detachment of the connecting element (5) from the receiving contour (1a). At least one of the securing elements (3a, 3b) is part of a securing section (3), which is designed such that it can be moved out of the secured state into a release state which detaches the connecting element (5).
