[origin: EP2355614A1] The device (10) has a heating element (14) and flanges (36, 38) formed in a tubular housing (12). The flanges are in punctiform contact with U-shaped grooves (30, 32) of the heating element. The heating element includes profile parts (26, 28) for transferring heat of a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resistor (16) of the heating element to the housing. A length of each flange of the housing is smaller than an axial length of the housing. The profile parts are arranged at a distance from each other in the housing in an axial direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical heating device.
