Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010055098A1] The invention relates to a pneumatic height-adjustment device for a motor vehicle, having a first carrier (1), a guide device (5) which is provided for receiving one end of a shock absorber (22) of a spring strut, a carrier (2) which can be displaced along the guide device (5) and, on its side which faces away from the first carrier (1), has a receptacle for a spring (18) which is arranged around the shock absorber (22). A bellows (3) is attached in a fluid-tight manner on the displaceable carrier (2) and the first carrier (1). A pressure chamber which can be filled with air via a passage (10, 11) is formed between the first carrier (1), the displaceable carrier (2), the guide device (5) and the bellows (3). The first carrier (1) and the displaceable carrier (2) are in contact with one another in an unfilled state of the pressure chamber, whereas the first carrier (1) and the displaceable carrier (2) are spaced apart from one another in a filled state of the pressure chamber.
