Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2357140A1] The tray (2) has side walls (11-14) surrounding a base wall (10), where the tray cooperates with a lid formed from a blank for covering the tray. The side walls are movable between a plane position with respect to the base wall, and a folded position in which the side walls are folded with respect to the base wall corresponding to assemble the tray. Reinforcement columns (30, 40) are arranged such that each column is adjacent to one of the side walls and partially supports the load to be applied on the lid with respect to a central zone (101) of polygon (100) when the tray is assembled. The reinforcement columns are provided with polygonal or semi-circular sections. The blank is made of semi-rigid material that is selected from a plastic e.g. olefin, board and a cellular board formed of two sheets. An independent claim is also included for a bin, comprising a cavity.
