Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2011023663A2] The invention relates to a hydrocyclone arrangement having a batch pulp inlet, a head water, an underflow, a supply tank, and at least one hydrocyclone feed pump present between the feed tank and the inlet. According to the invention, a lockable connection is provided between the head water and the feed tank for guiding the fine grain suspension from the head water into circulation over a prescribed time. The underflow is furthermore connected to a closed underflow tank comprising a freshwater feed. The suspension volume to be separated is placed in the feed tank in batches and is delivered to the hydrocyclone in batches. The underflow tank is filled with fresh water before commissioning the hydrocyclone, so that the discharge of fine grain into the underflow tank can be reduced.
